Nashville’s Tomato Art Fest is a real good time

For 12 years now Nashville’s historic 5 points area has hosted the Tomato Art Fest. Celebrating the Tomato, it features local art galleries, art and craft vendors, food vendors, 3 stages featuring local bands, contests, kid’s activities, and a fashion show. (click below to read more)

I could not catch all the music but my personal favorite was Little Johnny Kantreed playing old style Southern blues on a Dobro and his ‘cigar box” guitars. For food nothing beats a hot dog accompanied by chopped tomatoes, unless maybe you were a contestant in the “wet burrito” contest (my fav contest of the day). The fashion show featured cool vintage clothing displayed by East Nashvillians/local merchants. And the craft booth’s, one could spend all day just perusing the wares offered. It was a great day and I can’t wait for next year’s fest’
